Source Water
The District receives water from a single, 195-foot deep groundwater well located in the northeast corner of the District’s service area, on the west side of Stafford Road. This groundwater well has an instantaneous water right of 0.1 cubic feet per second, or 45 gallons per minute. This water is used to serve the entirety of the District’s Users.
Reservoir
Source water is pumped from the well, treated by chlorine injection, and is stored in the District’s elevated welded steel reservoir which sits adjacent to the well house. The reservoir is 35 feet tall and holds approximately 32,400 gallons of water at full level. From here, the stored drinking water is fed to the distribution system via gravity and to the District’s Users.
Distribution System
The distribution system consists of a single pressure zone fed by the elevated reservoir. This pressure zone ranges in elevation from 220 feet to 115 feet above sea level. The system primarily consists of 6-inch diameter ductile iron pipe, with some sections of smaller diameter steel piping on Ecotopia Lane. The distribution system also includes meters and meter boxes that serves each District property.
